Fine Art & Illustration Designs
Spring Fawn, May 2018: Water color painting created from an original photograph I took in early spring. Side Cut Park, Maumee, OH.
The Characters
Now here's a real character. This is Boomer (AKA "The Helpful Hamster."). He's special to me because he is the first character I ever created for the very first children's book I ever wrote. I'm currently working on his final color images and book design. I hope to self-publish his story soon! Feel free to scroll through this slideshow to see more of my character illustrations! I hope you enjoy them.
I love combining color with the joy of expression and the power of the imagination.

With a Wacom
I recently inherited a Wacom Intuous draw tablet and digital pen from a friend... Now I am UNSTOPPABLE! :) Here are the illustrations I created in Photoshop for the intro to a grant funded, scenario-based micro learning app (designed and formatted for play back on Mobil devices). Fun fact: I learned that a canvas size of 512x288 pixls is a good, general size to cover most mobil screens.

*** Special Thanks to Scott Parnell, teacher, professional guitarist, and musical artist for providing the background music for our video trailer. You rock, Scott! :)

Going to the dogs...
I didn't realize this until I started adding pieces to my Illustration page, but I have A LOT of images of doggies! :)
Scenery
My young daughter and I went out watercolor paining in the park one day for about an hour. This cover image above was my result. :)
Legacy Block
My highschool art teacher, upon retirement asked me to come back and paint a legacy block along side her most recent students. I was honored to do so. This was my contribution: a little M.C. Escher throw back combined with the opening page for my latest picture-only book idea: Imagine
